Simply add a potato to the pot, which will absorb the extra salt. Microwave a sliced lemon and a cup of water for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Let the solution stand in the microwave for 5 minutes. Remove the lemon water and wipe surface clean. Tip The fresh lemon can be substituted with a quarter cup of lemon juice. Rainy Day BBQ Substitute Want corn on the cob on a rainy day? Can’t get to the BBQ? No problem! Simply pop an ear of corn in the microwave. How to Microwave Corn 1 ear of corn, not shucked 1 Tbsp. butter salt or seasoning salt, to taste 82 Place unshucked corn in microwave for 2 minutes. Rotate corn and microwave for another 2 minutes. Rotate corn once more and microwave for an additional 2 minutes. Remove corn from microwave and quickly run under cold water. Remove husk. Serve with salt and butter.
