holiday mix and match
This Holiday trend is a crafty organic
look mixed with some eccentric
conversational pieces! I’ve broken up
this trend into three main elements to
help you create this look at home.
”
conversational
ornaments
Ordinary tree
ornaments will be
lost, while fun and
whimsical characters
will be the show
stoppers on a tree. It’s
all about conversation,
so the crazier the
better!

Our DIY Editor’s “Soldier On”
Makeover inexpensive nutcrackers into your
own unique soldiers of style using Ribbons,
Pipe Cleaners, Pom-Poms and Bling!
Nicholas Rosaci
Man Hunt Dollar stores or big box stores are excellent
places to find nutcrackers at a good value! Look for
soldiers that have a good build, smooth finish, and most
important have a nicely painted face. Bling King Pipe
cleaners, pom-poms, ribbons, and cool looking gems
are perfect for accessorizing your man to the max while
beads, buttons, and feathers create a stage-worthy
costume. Fit to Print Exotic snake gift wrap was used to
create a cool pair of snake skin pants. I affixed the pants
into place simply using Mod Podge. Also try using
faux-fur for around the arms, cuffs, and legs. - For complete

colour me crazy
Green is so yesterday!
Coloured feather trees
are trendy and add
interest to any space.
The nice part of a
coloured tree is that
you don’t have to over
decorate them; they
are a work of art on
their own.
