Beautiful Bay Window
My Challenge
An unfortunate window treatment
turned an otherwise pretty bay
window and focal point in the room
into an eyesore. This shallow bay
was not living up to its potential.

My Solution
It didn’t take much to transform the
bay window into a wonderful window
seat that’s not only gorgeous to
look at; it’s also practical, offering
additional seating to the room. A false
panel added flush with the wall of the
bay is trimmed with panel moulding
and baseboard. Then a sturdy top
was added for the bench and it was
painted white. Colourful toss cushions
add the finishing touch. Light-diffusing
screens cover the window while rich
burgundy silk drapery panels cover
the wall on either side of the bay
window to make it appear larger.
