diy HOOKS things you’ll need... • Three knobs • Drill with bit • Washers • 1” X 4” board cut in a 20” length • Krylon® Dual Paint + Primer (White) • Paint brush • Sandpaper • Measuring tape Sand the board to smooth out any rough edges. Apply two coats of paint to the front and back of the board. Drill three holes, leaving seven inches between each hole. Flip the board upside down and using a drill bit in the same size as the nut, countersink an eighth of an inch into the board. Insert a nut into the hole and flip the board. Add a washer and nut a quarterinch from the base of the knob, and screw the bolt of the knob through the hole. Repeat this process for the two remaining knobs. Otherwise, simply sand. Protect the work surface with newspaper and be sure to wear protective gloves and eye wear. Apply paint remover following the package instructions to remove layers of paint - multiple applications and removals may be needed. Clean all surfaces with mineral spirits to remove the stripper and last bits of paint. Allow to dry. Wear protective eye wear. Sand the surface of the chairs with one hundred and eighty grit sandpaper. Fill any dents, dings or cracks with wood putty following package instructions. Then sand with two hundred and twenty grit sandpaper. Use a vacuum followed by a tack cloth to remove any dust particles. Apply primer to all surfaces and allow to dry. Use white primer for light colours and grey primer for dark colours. Again use the tack cloth to clean any dust particles.
