Linton said his children are especially supportive given the platform’s potential to increase environmental conservation and plants a tree for every transaction completed.
Martello means hammer in Italian or “circular fortress” in Welsh. He likes both definitions for the tech platform designed to help with sales.
“It’s been fun,” Linton said.
Prior to getting involved in the cannabis industry, Linton worked in the telecom and tech industries and founded a few companies.
A native of Ontario, Canada he founded Canopy Growth with a few others in 2013 as Tweed Marijuana Inc.
Linton attributes his success in cannabis to being able to sum up his message and taking the risk of being an industry leader when few companies were seeking such a position.
