Report: Florida Cannabis Legalization Could Create 100K-Plus Jobs
Over the past months, cannabis companies have made a lot of effort In order to bring in the legalization of cannabis in various states of the United States. In October, a new report was published which revealed that if cannabis is legalized across the country state of Florida then it could prove to be a major boost for the state’s economy. The firm New Frontier Data’s Chief Knowledge Officer stated that as many as 100,000 new jobs could be generated in the state if cannabis is legalized. At this point in time, the cannabis industry in Florida employs around 17,000. However, it is quite clear that if cannabis is legalized across the country, then the Florida cannabis industry could end up becoming one of the leaders.

Over the past months, the acquisition deal between Canada’s Origin House and Cresco Labs (CRLBF) had been a topic of high interest among industry watchers. In October, it was announced that the companies have completed the necessary waiting period as per the provisions of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act. Origin House Chief Executive Officer Marc Lustig stated that it is an important development and will allow the companies to complete the deal quickly. The two companies will now work towards completing the deal and the deadline for completion has been set for November 15.
