Colorado Proposes Rules to Ban Additives in Cannabis Vape Products

In the middle of October, it emerged that Colorado is working on a way to ban additives in cannabis vape products. Many other states in which cannabis is legal are also exploring ways to do the same after thousands of people fell sick and some died.

On the other hand, an industry expert has stated that three provinces in Canada, namely Saskatchewan Manitoba and Alberta, have sold more cannabis than the rest of the country. The expert noted that a better overall framework was the reason behind such sales figures.

The legalization of cannabis in Canada was one of the biggest events in the history of the industry. In October, the Cannabis Benchmarks, a firm focused on the cannabis industry revealed that since legalization, licensed producers in the country have sold as much as $1.1 billion worth of the product.

Pot industry added nearly $8B to GDP in August, StatsCan says

Statistics Canada also revealed the scale of the growth in the cannabis industry and how much it contributed towards the country’s economy. Data revealed that the industry had grown by almost 116% since legalization 11 months ago. In August, the cannabis industry, including the illegal black market added $8 billion to the GDP of Canada.
