In October, the Cannabis Benchmarks, a firm focused on the cannabis industry revealed that since legalization, licensed producers in the country have sold as much as $1.1 billion worth of the product.

Statistics Canada also revealed the scale of the growth in the cannabis industry and how much it contributed towards the country’s economy. Data revealed that the industry had grown by almost 116% since legalization 11 months ago. In August, the cannabis industry, including the illegal black market added $8 billion to the GDP of Canada.
