Maricann is also proud to announce that it has been added to the Horizons Marijuana Life Sciences Index ETF (TSX:HMMJ). The company was selected to join the cannabis industry’s premier ETF due to its continued strong performance in the competitive Canadian cannabis landscape, as well as having proven to meet the Index’s required asset and liquidity thresholds.

Debuting on the Toronto Stock Exchange on April 5th, 2017, HMMJ is the first exchange-traded fund that will offer investors direct exposure to North American-listed stocks that are involved with biopharmaceuticals, medical manufacturing, distribution, bio-products, and other businesses ancillary to the marijuana industry. Maricann joins the group of 20 stocks tracked by the HMMJ ETF.
CCIM: After a very nice bullish period, the sector recently suffered a pullback. Some attribute it to profit taking while others to supply and demand for shares as some companies announced very significant financings during this Bull period (including Maricann) while still others attribute the pullback to the recent CSA bulletin to staff with respect to Canadian listed companies with US exposure. I believe it is a combination of these factors. Thoughts and what, if any, is Maricann’s USA exposure (NanoLeaf )?
MARI: Maricann has no exposure to the USA through its operations. Maricann only participates in the USA capital markets.
CCIM: What is the significance of your recent partnership/agreement with International Cannabrands Ltd and Julian Marley?
MARI: I look forward to working with Terry. He is one of the most respected executives in the sector. We think that his participation will let us see more opportunities and make better decisions.
