Another recent example can be found in a 27-page piece appearing on Seeking Alpha written by “Grumpy Bear Research”. It takes some chutzpah to put the word “bear” (as in bearish sentiment) right in their name. Typically, we do not give links to any overly positive or negative self-serving pieces but this one warrants it for discussion and academic purposes so here it is. It starts off as any good piece of research does with an executive summary followed by a professional introduction but any such comparison to a professionally prepared and vetted report, at least in my opinion, ends there. Here is a quick way to get to the truth behind the true motive of any writer. Who writes 27 pages? That is flag #1.
