CCIM: Other partners that Durham College has attracted to this program include Ample Organics, Cannabis at Work, Molecular Science Corp., and this magazine, CannaInvestor Magazine. An impressive list that’s for sure. How will each be involved in the curriculum being taught to students enrolled in this program?

DC: We are privileged to have established relationships with a number of industry-leading partners at this point. Not only will they be working with us as subject matter experts in curriculum development; they are also members of our cannabis industry program advisory committee (PAC). In addition to the companies already noted, we are also delighted to have as members of our PAC Dr. Michael Verbora, a physician who has completed over 2,000 cannabinoid medical consultations and is a sought-after healthcare speaker, Matt Maurer of Minden Gross LLP and Dawn Van Dam from CannJoin. The role of the PAC is to advise the college on industry needs and expectations so that we can ensure our programs are highly relevant and designed to maximize employment opportunities for our students in this sector.

CCIM: Is there any other aspects of the program or items that readers should be made aware of that you’d like to share?

DC: Durham College is committed to the ongoing development of new and exciting education that supports the cannabis industry. We will continue to expand our offerings in this area, so stay tuned for more announcements as we move forward.
