CCIM: Currently, the program is a two-day course offering contextual knowledge of various key aspects on the cannabis industry, such as history, emerging market trends, compliance, legal, and ethics to name a few… looking at it from a more long-term perspective, are you planning for the certificate to offer a more in-depth program in various facets of the cannabis industry?

DC: The new certificate program will definitely take a more in-depth look at the industry. For example, in addition to the current course, which will be a part of the new program, we will have a course that specifically examines the adult-use recreational market. We will have another course that goes into much greater depth in the areas of regulatory affairs, legislation and ethics. In the Cannabis Business Operations course, we will study elements such as quality assurance, marketing and advertising standards, security and tracking software. In the Importing and Exporting Cannabis course, we will examine the regulations and requirements in these areas for both medical and recreational-use cannabis. As you can see, the new program will take a very comprehensive look at the business of cannabis.
