Years before graduating with an Honours Degree in Economics at the University

of Toronto and completing both of the Canadian Securities Course and the

Customs and Procures Handbook Course, Louis was already investing in mutual

funds – before he was old enough to drive a car. From there, Louis ran a

successful Investment Club. His 30+ relevant years of experience including

experience in Treasury, Financial Analysis, Securitization, Equities, Futures,

and advanced money market instruments are now focused on the legal hemp

and cannabis industry.

When Louis was approached to be the editor of the Canadian edition of

CannaInvestor Magazine, he found it both an honour and a privilege to be

part of the team that is the most trusted source of timely and valued

added relevant information to investors and the industry itself. Louis is

Spiro Sertsis, CPA,CMA

Spiro is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) AND graduated

with an Honours Degree in Management and Economics from the

University of Toronto. He has been in the finance and accounting field

for over 20 years in various roles including leading the design and

implementation of custom automated corporate consolidation and

financial planning applications for several Fortune 500 companies.

He has several years of experience in financial reporting, capital

budgeting, and operations planning and forecasting. He has in

depth expertise in revenue forecast modeling, and preparing

financial statements for companies listed on the Toronto Stock

Exchange.

Whitney Abrams, JD

Whitney is an associate in Minden Gross LLP’s Cannabis Law

Group where she provides regulatory and business advice to

domestic and international cannabis stakeholders. ​She spends

time staying abreast of the changes in the Canadian cannabis

industry and ​regularly contributes to Cannabis-related publi

-cations and to the online resource, Canada Cannabis Legal.

In addition to her cannabis practice, Whitney practices as a

litigator with a broad commercial practice. Whitney has

conducted trials, motions, and hearings before the

Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and

various administrative tribunals.
