Throw away that old food processer you never use as you chop away at your veggies, that pod coffee maker that’s collecting dust while your hit the drive-thru every morning ordering your $5 café lattes, that $400 juicer that sits on the top shelf of your pantry while you pay $6 at the local super-juice shop…there’s a new kid in town: SEEDS.

Since legislation was introduced, there has been a sharp increase in registered grow permits, as shown in the table below, albeit still only representing about 1.5% of the total number of registered patients to April, although increases in registration to 4,480 are reported as of May 9 by Lift in a recent article. Almost two-thousand new permits in a relatively short time-span (between April and May) is pretty impressive.
