Nevada collects 15% wholesale tax on medical and recreational marijuana, and another 10% excise tax. This varies by municipality. For example, Las Vegas and Henderson are taxed up to 38%. Initial reports are that Nevada collected about $36 million in tax revenue from cannabis sales last year, and that is in a six-month period (July 1st 2017 to December 31st 2017), with retailers selling close to $195 million overall. At this pace, it expected to top $390 million for the year. While sales have been up and down month over month, it is still well above forecast.

How does this measure up to Washington, Colorado, and California? PRETTY GOOD!
