That is an excellent question and I think a lot of it has to do with the infancy of the industry and people's perception of the government. You have to remember recreational cannabis has been illegal in this country up until October 17th, 2018, and before that time the normal/regular user would have more than likely obtained their cannabis through illegal sources.

When the government legalized cannabis at the end of last year, the government understandably had some issues and growing pains. Here in Ontario the OCS had issues with the product supply and online orders for the first couple of months.

This lead to many frustrated customers returning to the illegal market which only fueled their view of the government's products as somehow inferior or not up to their quality standards that they have with the illegal sources.

This myth that illegal cannabis is somehow better is just not true. Many of the licensed producers in Canada have been growing cannabis legally for 30 plus years, and have been doing so with strict regulations and procedures set forth by the government of Canada.

These regulations and procedures are set to ensure that the products that are being produced are met with all health and safety standards in check. The same cannot be said with the illegal market.

Thank you so much for taking time today out of your busy schedule to introduce yourselves to our readers. So with that, let's get right into it with the time we have. I encourage our readers to visit your website (Professional Cannabis Consulting) because it contains such a wealth of information as well as highlighting your own achievements in the industry.

Our subscribers know CannaInvestor Magazine for its quality. Our past and current writers include industry leading accredited professionals - LLBs, CPAs, CFPs, MDs. RNs, etc. We are about quality education and awareness first and foremost on a depth and breadth of subjects that in my opinion is second to none in the space. On the subject of quality, your recent interview with the CBC came right to mind. Why do you think there remains this myth that perpetuates that illegally produced and supplied cannabis is of superior quality then its legal counterpart? For those that understand what "quality" truly means, I think they understand that is just not the case ... but what needs to be done to raise awareness and truth on these facts?
