impressed with the turnout. At times I had to dipsy-doodle around a sea of people coming towards me. So I concur. How did you find the traffic was this year in comparison to other years?

O’CANNABIZ: With all the buzz surrounding our keynote speakers, and the addition of the O’Cannabiz Awards Gala, it was far busier than previous years. O’Cannabiz saw an overall registration increase of over 40% from prior years. This is also attributed to the added 40,000 sq ft (total of 100,000) of vendor space.

CANNAINVESTOR: Wow yes I did and my feet did notice it was considerably larger on the tradeshow floor. This year was the inaugural Gala Awards which regretfully I didn’t have a chance to attend. Some familiar names to investors such as Aurora Cannabis, 48North, and 3Sixty Secure Corporation winning awards among many other great companies (and people). How well was this received by the Cannabis Industry? Is this something that you plan to continue into the future?

O’CANNABIZ: The O’Cannabiz Award Gala judges panel consisted of notable industry experts who had the opportunity to cast their vote for some of the most revered companies and people in the cannabis industry right now! The exhaustive list of 2019 Award Categories included Best LP, Brand of the Year, Cannabis Person of the Year, and Best Canna Innovation, to name just a few. There were so many great nominees that the gala itself was an excellent way to draw attention to all of the tremendous finalists!

The Gala event was an excellent addition and a great way to dress up to celebrate some of the biggest achievements from brands and individuals in the Cannabis space right now. Not only did the event provide a great networking opportunity for some of the brightest in the biz and helped recognize some of the big achievements that have happened since legalization. There were so many great stories from the evening. Highlights of the evening included 48North LP receiving Brand of the Year for its female-led brand and also several well-deserved pieces of hardware for 7ACRES, which included Best Marketing Campaign for “#RespectThePlant”.
