Cheers. Data coming out of Colorado and other jurisdictions is clearly showing a decline in alcohol consumption with a migration to cannabis as a substitute. I cannot see any reason why that would not also be the Canadian experience but time will tell. But that is certainly a factor in why we are seeing the large international players entering the cannabis space.

The Alliance …. Are the members all stand alone or do members have the opportunity to network, collaborate, and even potentially find synergies and economies of scale through such collaborations?

One of the benefits of the Alliance is that we welcome members with different organizational structures. Some of our members are stand-alone companies, while others are allied trade associations or joint ventures. Our inclusive mandate definitely allows for collaborations and synergies amongst our membership base, and something we hope to highlight as a collective body in the months to come.

Going through the list of the Alliance members, many are no strangers to our pages such as Hill Street Brewery and Provincial Brands. The alliance is led by former Nova Scotia premier Darrell Dexter. With final rules not expected out until the summer is that enough time for the members to ensure that they are complying?

As you correctly hinted at, what our Alliance members hope for above all is some certainty from Health Canada to guide their business activities in the months leading up to October 2019. In the interim, we are passing along intelligence we are receiving from Health Canada as to the prospective changes they might make and the timing with which these changes will be announced.
