Over time, alcohol could end up becoming taboo

Whatever marijuana’s health risks, it’s always going to be exponentially safer than Canada’s other legal party drug: alcohol. Alcohol puts more Canadians in the hospital every year than heart attacks. Alcohol is also a major contributor to virtually every violent crime imaginable. Half of all murderers had been drinking at the time of their offence, according to a 2014 meta-analysis. Roughly half of all sex assaults also involve alcohol in some form, according to U.S. stats. As social acceptance of pot increases — and as cannabis-infused drinks become more popular — it may start becoming gauche to show up to a party with whiskey or beer.

beat you to it or may innocently share your idea with another who in turn files the necessary paperwork ahead of your. Use Non Disclosure Agreements when discussing your undertakings. When someone says to me “do you not trust me” when I resist disclosure or request protection for disclosure I tend to respond with the words to the effect of “of course I do, which is why I know signing the NDA is a no brainer for you but doing so is part of the processes and procedures I have established … you understand ….”.

Why is this subject a case study?

Because my friends, now more than ever people are trying to cash in and monetize like never before. Events and conferences are an excellent example because the large main ones in some cases are morphing into industry trade shows creating a vacuum for events built around the public to learn. Regardless, they just cannot address and discuss all subject matter in the time and space afforded. I know people who have attended such events because of the breakout room subjects only to discover that the subjects they were most interested in were held at the same time in different locations. If in Canada, I suggest you look at Eventbrite and of course the links on our Events page right here each month because there are so many free and low cost events packed with meaningful content. UCANN2019 was held on May 3 in Toronto and is but one example of such a value added event. For any event, look at the speaker line up as that may suggest to you the true legitimacy of an event. UCANN’s A list lineup included Mark Spear and Matt Mauer among the dozens of others. Industry leaders such as Mark and Matt are very careful with who they associate with and that is also why you see both of them in these pages – integrity is currency. Attending these events is an investment of your time and money and in turn you may make investment or career decisions based on your experiences at these events.
