So what’s the deal with capsules? As new laws come into place on consuming cannabis, using capsules is very discreet. Not to mention, health-wise, it is night and day compared to smoking it, and probably vaping it. But the benefits of capsulized cannabis go beyond a safe and effective method of delivery. They provide doctors with a trusted method of consumption, and may provide less pushback from the medical community on prescribing cannabis as a treatment option, which I am sure other medical patients reading this can attest to witnessing in the past. And really important, get more accurate R&D on treating various conditions. Lastly, from a cost perspective, it is not unreasonable, whether you purchase from a Licensed Producer, or decide to impulse shop when you are bored and decide to become a kinder, gentler, and good-intended “Heisenberg” for a few hours.

Capsules have existed in medicine since 1834, when Mothes and Dublanc were granted a patent to produce gelatin capsules, or what we know commonly as “softgels”. James Murdock patented the two-piece telescoping gelatin capsule in 1847, what we know now as “hard capsules”, like the ones I used in my experiment. The end result is, this is not new. And it’s about time cannabis figures into the equation as well.
