Hello Friends and Happy Summer 2018 in The Great White North!,

I grew up embracing the outdoors as my family had a cottage north of Toronto (I was raised in Etobicoke – in other words, Toronto). We would camp and day trips were the norm. Being outdoors was not limited to the spring, summer, and fall as my parents and I would cross country ski and skiing the Toronto Zoo was second to none. From my early teens well into my 20’s, hiking the northern most tip of the Bruce Trail was an annual tradition – and if that were today, I could pop in at Supreme Cannabis Company annually. That annual hike has been replaced with the autumn journey to the Muskoka’s and Algonquin Park to bask in the glory of autumn colours.

But time equals change. I am older now and no longer live in Toronto and have a family of my own – the family cottage of yesteryear long gone. However, outdoor activities and day trips are in my DNA and my children love it too even though one is now 20 and the other 16. Summer nights are often spent at outdoor concerts such as at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto and the August plan is make it to one of the free concerts in Peterborough Ontario.
