In that challenge to the CMA, we said specifically a legal recreational market will only legitimatize the medical framework and would be patients would now be more willing to have that conversation with their medical team. Similarly, reluctant health care professionals would also be more willing to have that discussion with patients ideally suited for cannabis as medicine because of the change in legal status of cannabis. In fact, according to that article, one pain clinic in Toronto reports that nearly 75% of patients since legalisation have expressed an interest in cannabis as treatment.
