Back in April, only three companies actively trading in Canada had any sort of beverage available: The Tinley Beverage Company (CSE: TNY; OTC: QRSRF), Laguna Blends Inc. (now Isidiol International Inc. CSE: ISOL; OTC: ISOLF) and Lexaria Biosciences Corporation (CSE: LXX; OTC: LXRP). Nutritional High International on the other hand, was the only company focused on the consumable “edible” food items. Since then, Hydropothecary, for example, has added a “Decarb” marijuana product, a ready to consume activated and edible cannabis powder that recently took first place at the Canadian Cannabis Awards in Toronto. Decarb offers a range of options, from micro-dosing to high potency, giving clients flexibility and convenience. This of course is required for making your own edible products but can be taken in pill form as well. The decarb product is 100% activated (decarboxylated), meaning the THC and CBD are ready to consume without heating so it can be sprinkled onto food, into drinks or directly consumed. We’ve seen acquisitions and investment in this sector at a fairly rapid pace.
