phytocannabinoids are brewed from marijuana; our beers which intoxicate using alcohol are brewed from premium food-grade hemp) – but the flavour is pretty similar. Certainly, the flavour of our beer is closer to that of a commercially available hemp beer than it is to the flavour of smoking or vaporizing marijuana. The main difference between commercially available hemp beers and our beer is that our beer is less sweet and does not have that “bread-like” barley flavour – instead the nutty flavour of the cannabis is stronger in our beer than it would be in those beers. As far as our ability to shorten the onset time of our non-alcoholic products which intoxicate using marijuana, this will be achieved through a licensing relationship with another company using a technology they have developed.

Changing gears for a bit … but we are after all an Investment publication with over 80,000 subscribers – when do you expect the RTO to be completed and Province Brands shares to begin trading and under what stock symbol?

We’re currently in the process of raising about $30 Million. Upon the close of this round it is our intention that Province Brands of Canada will trade publicly on the Toronto Stock Exchange’s venture exchange. There is always a chance that this might not happen as planned – if the right investor comes along, but as of right now, that’s’ the plan. We have already inked a deal to take over a CPC called Colson Capital as the vehicle which will take our company public (press release). As I understand it, we should be able to list very shortly after the close of our currently ongoing private funding round – which has been going exceptionally well.

Several times a week, usually on my way to and from the hockey arenas, I drive buy the site of your new location and the new building is coming along nicely. When do you expect to be open there and what can customers expect …. And to stay on topic, when will the hemp beer start flowing? Do you have a name for the two beers yet …is it top secret or can it be shared? If names are not known yet, have you thought about a naming contest to generate a buzz with your loyal and growing customer base?
