What makes the facility unique is that it will be one of the first if not the first brewery in the world with the appropriate licensure to manufacture and distribute non-alcoholic beers brewed from or infused with cannabis.

With the funds we’re currently raising we are planning to install a capacity of 175,000 HL annually in this facility. This will happen in two tranches – with a 20,000 HL per year capacity brewhouse coming online very soon, and a 155,000 HL Per year brewhouse coming online later. 175,000 HL per hear is quite a large capacity (it’s about 51 million standard size bottles

annually) and we know it will take Province Brands some time to build demand for our own premium beers such that we could fill that capacity with our own product.

It has always been our plan to use this facility to generate revenue by co-packing non-alcoholic cannabis beers for others while demand grew for our Province-branded premium beers. We began looking for partners interested in co-packing ant it was around this time that Mark found us.

Brock Street’s values really match our own and we immediately realized this was going to be the perfect partnership.

What we hadn’t expected was that Brock Street would also be interested in licensing our technology to brew an (alcohol-containing) hemp beer from their new facility in Whitby. We always thought of our technology for brewing a beer from the hemp plant as useful for making a sort of niche product which would appeal only to true beer enthusiasts. It tastes absolutely amazing, but it’s not cheap to make so we just weren’t sure about the size of market. As a result, it never even occurred to us that there would be interest in other breweries licensing the tech to make their own beers brewed from hemp. When Brock Street approached us with this offer we were over the moon with excitement. We’ll be supporting them in every possible way as they prepare to make an alcohol beer in their phenomenal new Whitby brewery using our technology. This will be a game changer for us, for them and for the brewing industry as a whole.
