Good evening Jason and thank you for taking a few minutes of your busy day to introduce yourself to our readers. You know, every month thousands read your article and yet they do not know you. So let's fix that! Tell us a bit about your background as a Financial Advisor and why is it that your clients cannot recommend and refer you enough to others.

My pleasure Louis I think this is a great idea! I started as a financial planner in 1999 with Investors group. I was personal training clients in their home and at a gym and had a dream to develop a client base that would grow. What I soon realized was that personal training at the time was the first thing to go when money became tight. It was paid for with disposable income. My passion for helping people lead me to having a conversation with a friend who was in the financial industry at the time and the rest, as they say, is history. So, 20 years and 30 pounds ago I made that move. My commitment to my clients has always been to always give the best advice. I strive to stay on top of all the industry changes. This has led to 5 designations and 2 more in the works. Aside from my industry knowledge I firmly believe clients need to understand financial planning so they can make better decisions. This involves speaking to them so they can understand and removing all the industry jargon. I also believe in giving excellent customer service. I do this through constant communication and having a lot touch points. I would rather a client be annoyed with all the emails then wonder where I am when they need help.

I am always amazed ... "amazed" may not be the right word ... at the number of retail investors I have met that use discount online brokers and the reason they give is that the cost of professional management and advisory services is not worth it.... all the while they throw hundreds of dollars, in my opinion, away year after year subscribing to American based paid promoter's newsletters and websites. What would you say to these individuals and the countless potential individuals looking to invest for the first time and in particular in the cannabis industry?
