Sometimes it is best to just let the facts speak for themselves such as that ROI. The sad part though is for anyone who did not invest in these companies either because of the original post or from seeing it elsewhere as others reposted the list on their own feeds. If you saw this list or s milar lists on social media, just block the person(s) that posted it or shared it on their own feeds. I cannot warn you enough about posting or “re-tweeting” threads that bash companies. If you work in the industry ask yourself would your employer reward you for publicly having a hand in bashing other companies? Feel free to question or even challenge valuations of companies but steer clear from baseless, and potentially slanderous or criminal, allegations and accusations. More and more employers are scanning the social media accounts of employees and vendors/contractors. So why even both participating in what could be career limiting or ending behaviour and/or have your reputation associated with it?

As the table to the left shows, anyone who repeated that original list of twelve companies is ‘wearing it’ and there are sites out there that show every tweet, for example, from accounts even when the person subsequently deleted their original tweet. The mature thing is to apologize publicly to all that their behaviour may have adversely affected and move on. Deleting tweets that can be readily found elsewhere only serves as a reminder that there are indeed complete donkeys out there (you may have a different term other than “complete donkey”). Many of these companies, with good reason, have appeared as case studies and/or included in content/strategies in CannInvestor Magazine over the past few months.
