On October 2, 2017, the company announced that it had appointed Mr. Chris Wagner to lead EMH as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wagner brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing pharmaceutical products, including 10 years at Eli Lilly as Global Team Leader, where he helped develop, commercialize, and market many biologic and small molecule products. The company also appointed a seasoned Chief Financial Officer, and VP of Finance in November, further strengthening its team in order to build the business into a significant player in the cannabis sector.

Although Emerald Health is a mid-sized licensed producer, having a market cap around $250mm, the company has made a number of bold moves in 2017 to differentiate themselves from competitors. Management has proven themselves to be very capital efficient and strategic in nature, while remaining mindful of long term shareholder value. If the company is able to see their ambitious expansion plans through, their stock has the potential to yield significant returns in 2018 and beyond.
