Although it is no surprise to see the Canadian sector garnishing more attention by USA based analysts and stock promoters (or “influencers”), one suspects their stay will be short lived because when the USA Federal Administration moves towards legalization one would expect these promoters will return south. From their perspective it is quite understandable because they are following the money plus it is easier to write about success – such as the Canadian environment whether it be about stocks, companies, M&A, policy, legislation, medical, social attitude, etc. Those that remain dedicated to the USA industry are the ones to be commended – such as our team at the

USA edition of CannaInvestor Magazine because the others just prove the old cliché that “when the going gets tough the tough get going”.

However, at the end of the day, they are marketing people and with that comes all that which we associate with sales. When a new company or product is launched, I fully expect and appreciate the increased marketing but perhaps not when an industry matures. That is the trap – they appear in all way to be there for the typical retail investor when in fact of course they are there for themselves and their client. The spill over benefit to retail investors is desired of course to retain and attract new clients.
