Readers, for many of you, Todd needs no introduction, but he is the Chief Investment Officer and founding partner of CB1 Capital Management and a 30-year veteran of Wall Street, including stints at Morgan Stanley and several high-profile hedge funds.

I think this may be the first time I have interviewed someone as like-minded as myself in so many aspects and facets of this industry. Can you take a few moments to introduce our readers to your background and how it relates to investing in the cannabis industry and from there a bit more on CB1 Capital Management? For our purposes, “cannabis industry” includes Hemp unless we specifically state otherwise.

It is, primarily because of the industry we are in has so many moving parts and our Company, Westleaf is engaged in all major aspects of the industry. It’s important to note that the legal cannabis industry in Canada is just over 140 days old and we are operating in many jurisdictions and regulatory environments, as well as a very competitive landscape. It is hectic but at the same time it is a very exciting sector to be in. There are very few opportunities in life to be part of a brand-new industry.
