CannaInvestor Magazine is not responsible for the content within any third party source including websites that we reference. You may do your own online search on these subjects and navigate to sites that you may find a greater comfort level with. The point to referencing these sources is not to suggest that cannabis is indeed a miracle cure and in fact we are making no statements of claims with respect to any health related matters - but rather to point out to you, as an investor, that there appears to be a growing body of evidence suggesting a correlation between the appropriate use of properly dosed and monitored cannabis and an improvement in aspects of health and wellness and in this case specifically BP, blood glucose levels, and cholesterol.

As such, as an investor you need to determine what percentage, if any, of your portfolio are you willing to dedicate to what may turn out to be a significant medical breakthrough. An inherent problem with most of these studies is that the sample group tended to also adopt a lifestyle and treatment plan for their medical condition. It therefore becomes difficult to assign a value or weighting on the role that the cannabis may have played. Some of the sited sources, and others for you to look up on your own, indeed had control groups for comparison purposes. Let’s move on to another growing area of concern … male fertilisation deficiency …. A.K.A. - low sperm count.

The growing trend towards reduced sperm count is not a comfortable subject for many and even odder to appear in what to many professionals deem a premier source of leading content of the cannabis industry. And that why it is key to be able to connect the dots from articles you may come across and assign them an appropriate value based on your due diligence and risk appetite. At least one recent study (Harvard T Chan School of Health) found that light cannabis use may increase sperm count. As an investor, you may outright dismiss this study and others like it as well as the growing evidence with respect to diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure. But what cannot be denied is the array of medical conditions where cannabis use is demonstrating effectiveness – epilepsy, migraines, arthritis, and MS perhaps lead the way but there are several dozen other diseases and conditions where cannabis is said to be an effective treatment for. This does not even touch end-of-life compassionate considerations. On that subject, please be sure to go back to our January 2019 issue to read the ground-breaking article by none other than Sylvia Bagge.
