not adding my own narrative or editing for effect … I am quoting only when I dissect that paragraph.

[Cannabis] - it’s always going to be exponentially safer than [alcohol].

Alcohol puts more Canadians in the hospital than heart attacks; major contributor to virtually every violent crime imaginable including half of all murders and sexual assaults.

So if cannabis is always going to be exponentially safer than alcohol, as an investor what sub sector or niche could benefit the greatest? The answer may also be right in that same paragraph … hiding … in plain site … “and as cannabis-infused drinks become more popular — it may start becoming gauche to show up to a party with whiskey or beer”.

The title of that article is exactly why, from the investor’s perspective, this industry is in many ways still in its infancy and also exactly why the hucksters and paid promoters work their craft.

That article from October 2018 refers to alcohol becoming taboo as an unexpected consequence of the legalisation of cannabis. Unexpected? Actually, if there is a decline in alcohol use in Canada as a result of consumers switching to cannabis then that, to you, should be anything but unexpected … in fact, such a transition would be exactly what is expected. The lack of knowledge and education in this industry is exactly why the unscrupulous still have a home … like weeds in the garden (or perhaps more like parasites).

Such a societal paradigm shift could take years much like how it took years for drinking and driving to be seen as the foolish selfish reckless and criminal act that it is.

But for most of that time, access to data, information, and knowledge was not available as it is today and I predict this shift will not take nearly as long.

Cannabis infused drinks also have the benefit of pinpoint dosage control meaning it could become an ideal delivery vehicle of choice for cannabis as medication, wellness/maintenance, and of course recreationally. Nothing we did not state years ago and nothing others have not since realized. Colorado is a useful comparator.
