Fantastic … moving on to your next pillar …to the degree that you can, what is the status of your two manufacturing facilities currently under construction? I believe that one is a cultivation facility located in Battleford, Saskatchewan and the other is a processing, extraction and manufacturing centre located in Calgary, Alberta.

Our flagship cultivation facility Thunderchild by Westleaf, is currently being built near Battleford, Saskatchewan. The indoor cultivation facility is named after Westleaf’s partnership with Thunderchild First Nation, who’s Chief and council saw the early potential in the cannabis space and put the nation’s resources forward with both land to build the facility on and a substantial investment in the company. This facility is being built in two stages, Phase 1, is a roughly 85,000 square foot indoor growing operation which we anticipate will produce approximately 7,300 kgs of dried flower per year, which will be followed by Phase 2 which will increase the total facility size to approximately 130,000 square feet and double production to about 14,600 kgs per year. Our other manufacturing facility “The Plant by Westleaf”, is a research, extraction and processing facility under construction in Calgary, Alberta, in a warehouse that once held mountains of paper archives from downtown Calgary businesses. This facility like the hundreds of thousands of the square feet of empty space in the city, was the direct result of shifting technology and economic fortunes. Now it’s being transformed into a high tech – and high security – research, extraction, processing and product development centre.

record shop. Prairie Records offers something for every type of consumer. Both first-time users and cannabis connoisseurs will find a space that is inclusive and welcoming - with curated playlists of both the consumable and auditory kind. Prairie Records targets the adult use recreational market and we have carefully curated a brand story and retail experience that adheres to the regulations set in place for cannabis retailers. Prairie Records takes all of the branding aspects you would typically find on a product but can’t find on cannabis products due to packaging restrictions and puts them on a record cover. The record cover allows us to legally navigate the restrictive packaging guidelines, but still provide information to consumers and engage them in a tactile way. We are employing best practises when it comes to age-gating across every touchpoint. Additionally, education is imperative for our consumers. At Prairie Records, we will hire, and have hired dedicated staff, who are committed to providing superior customer service and education for consumers. Whether it’s recommending a particular strain or highlighting the cultivation process, our staff are highly knowledgeable on every detail of the business across the entire cannabis value chain.
