EDITOR'S NOTE

Welcome to the Canadian edition of CANNAINVESTOR Magazine.

The Great White North leads the world in this industry and CANNAINVESTOR Magazine is not only the pre-eminent source for investing in the legal cannabis and hemp industry but is also a B2B springboard for the industry where companies discover one another. The industry is still in a very early part of Stage 1 of the Consolidation Curve (May 2016 issue) or perhaps even pre-Stage 1 in some jurisdictions (USA and elsewhere). To be a part of the team that helps retail investors avoid the pitfalls that plague all new industries while simultaneously assisting them in how to invest with success is nothing less than an honour and privilege.

I am truly excited and passionate about this industry and what this industry will do for prepared retail investors. To be able to tap into my decades of professional experience and education and apply it is nothing less than fuel for that passion.

In my first article, I coined the term “Ecoforming” and referred to the industry itself as a vibrant Ecosystem and that the prepared retail investor is an integral part of that Ecosystem. I had no idea that referring to the industry as an Ecosystem would start appearing more and more in various news articles. I am truly humbled.
