240 bird species inhabit Alaska’s Southwest region. The region’s terrain ranges from
a landscape of volcanoes in Katmai National Park to the windswept Aleutian Islands.
Interior and Denali National Park – in Alaska’s heartland, you’ll see the continent’s
tallest peak, Mount Denali, and wide expanses of tundra. The forests are teeming with
wildlife and bird life ranging from the formidable grizzly to stately herds of caribou.
South Central Alaska – with over half of Alaska’s population within Anchorage, it is a
playground of activities from world-class fishing to hiking and wildlife viewing, with
the advantages of remote wilderness within easy driving distance.

FULL DAY CRUISES
Explore the world of glaciers, wildlife and stun-
ning scenery in Kenai Fjords National Park on
a full-day cruise. Watch for abundant wildlife
such as humpback whales, orca whales, Steller
sea lions, sea otters, harbour seals, Dall’s por-
poises, bald eagles and puffins. Visit towering
tidewater glaciers and witness calving, where
giant chunks of glacial ice break off and crash
into the water.
The 6-hour cruise visits one active tidewater
glacier, while the 7.5-hour cruise visits two ac-
tive tidewater glaciers by catarmeran. For the
adventure-seeker, the 8.5-hour Northwestern
Fjord Cruise brings you to remote areas of Ke-
nai Fjords National Park on a smaller vessel.
