Charlottetown – known as the birthplace of Canada, this seaside city has an elegant
and historical charm. Walkable and safe, you will never be far from world-class theatre
– including Anne of Green Gables the Musical – shopping, historic sites and golf
courses in stunning settings.
North Cape Coastal Drive – offers a variety of classic island scenery with naturally
sifted white and red sand beaches, towering red sandstone capes and a necklace of
essential coastal stops. Join the locals as they celebrate tradition, music and cuisine
at one of the many festivals that span the shores of the North Cape Coastal Region.
Red Sands Shore – there is a warmth that envelops you here, and it’s embodied
by the colour red: the red sand beaches that await your footprints and castles, the
red jutting cliffs that will both impress and humble you, and the red clay roads that
disappear over hills and beckon you to follow.
Green Gables Shore – a spectacular piece of Prince Edward Island’s acclaimed scenic
landscape composed of red sandstone cliffs, white sand beaches and rolling farm
fields. Some of this classic coastline has been protected in Prince Edward Island
National Park, which hugs the north shore in this area.
Green Gables Heritage Place – visit the 19th century Green Gables farm in Cavendish,
where images from the blockbuster 1908 novel blend with the real life experiences of
local author Lucy Maud Montgomery, who drew inspiration from the idyllic farmstead
and its red woodland pathways.
