Saskatchewan
Saskatoon – the gorgeous campus of the University of Saskatchewan is the centrepiece
of this picturesque city, surrounded by great shopping areas, galleries and attractions.
Wanuskewin Heritage Park – this unique site interprets over 6,000 years of Northern
Plains Indian culture, with 21 pre-contract sites, four walking trails and a visitor centre.
Batoche National Historic Site – the last battlefield in the Northwest Rebellion of
1885, this site displays the remains of the village of Batoche, located on the banks of
the South Saskatchewan River.
The Western Development Museum – a network of four museums in Saskatchewan,
preserving and recording the social and economic development of the province. The
museum has branches in Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Saskatoon and Yorkton.
Tunnels of Moose Jaw – this year-round tourist attraction entertains guests with
unique productions of Canadian history. Head beneath the streets of downtown
Moose Jaw and experience two guided theatrical tours.
Cypress Hills – there is plenty to see and do in the Cypress Hills area, located in
southwest Saskatchewan, besides just spending a day zipping through the trees!

Manitoba
Folklorama – this festival runs for two weeks each August in Winnipeg and celebrates
the cultural and ethnic heritage of people from all over the world. Sample exotic
cuisine and experience dynamic performances featuring world-class artists while
learning about cultures and countries from across the globe. This is the world’s largest
and longest running multicultural festival.
Winnipeg – known for its friendly and welcoming spirit, Winnipeg is a diverse
multicultural city with a rich and varied history. All the main attractions are an easy
walk in downtown including the Manitoba Museum, the Canadian Museum for Human
Rights, Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Exchange District and the delightful suburb of St.
Boniface.
Assiniboine Park – nestled in the heart of Winnipeg, Assiniboine Park is the perfect
place to relax and play year-round with attractions that blend the best of physical
activity, sightseeing, dining and wildlife into one unforgettable experience.
Churchill, Belugas and Polar Bears – during the summer months of July and August,
the Churchill River north of Winnipeg is home to over 3,000 beluga whales that
migrate into the river to give birth and feed. At the end of the summer as the ice
melts, the polar bears come, with the best viewing times in October and November.
