Restylane
This is a hyaluronic acid filler with a high affinity for water. This means that
it is essentially good at retaining moisture in the lips. It has high G prime
elasticity, which means that it has the great ability of giving definition and lift
to the lips. It also has high viscosity, which means that it can maintain the
shape of the lips.
Juvederm Ultra XC
This substance hasa higher concentration of hyaluronic acid than
Restylane and Volbella (the next filler in the list). The G prime in this is
lower than Restyane and Volbella means it gives a softer feel and a more
horizontal spread in direction.
Juvederm Volbella
This is the newest of the lip plumpers in the market these days. It has the
lowest presence of hyaluronic acid and the lowest relation to water. It gives
a subtle volume augmentation which allows the lips to look soft and natural.
Though the results are less dramatic, it still doesn’t mean they diminish
quickly. One can expect the results to last up to a year.
Which filler is the best for who?
You need to leave the choice of the best filler for you up to the medical
practitioner. However, there are some suggestions that can be considered.
Older patients are better off with Restylane and Volbella, whereas younger
patients do better with Juvederm.
