Day 1 Fly to Toronto with Air Canada : On arrival collect your hire car and proceed to your hotel . Day 2 Toronto / Midland : Scenic drive to Huron country with a detour through Penetanguishene , an old native village . We suggest a visit to Georgian Bay ’ s “ 30 000 Islands ” and a tour of the Jesuit mission at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons ( 99 miles ). Day 3 Midland / Huntsville : Today , the road leads northeast to century-old Algonquin Provincial Park and the beautiful Muskoka region ( 85 miles ). Trois-Rivieres is Québec ’ s second-oldest city and many of its streets are characterised by 18th-century style structures and galleries . In Batiscan , you can view the stone presbytery that is an architectural gem and perhaps see historical craft demonstrations ( 228 miles ).

Day 11 St Michel-des-Saints : Get back to nature amidst the beautiful landscapes surrounding you at Reservoir Taureau and Baie du Milieu . The numerous outdoor activities include canoeing , kayaking , mountain biking or sailing . Alternatively , step out along the hiking trails . Day 12 St Michel-des-Saints / Montréal : Traverse the Lanaudiere region and its many lakes . Stop in Berthierville and visit the Gilles Villeneuve Museum , then continue to Montréal . Perhaps visit Notre-Dame Basilica , the Olympic site , the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts , Mount Royal Park , Casino or the underground city ( 103 miles ). Visit Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg and Old Fort Henry or , take a leisurely cruise ( 178 miles ). Day 14 Kingston / Niagara Falls : Drive along Lake Ontario , skirting Toronto , and visit the charming 19th century village of Niagara-on-the-Lake . Once in Niagara Falls , don your rain jacket and join a cruise that will take you to the American Falls before sailing past massive rock formations to the magnificent sight of the thundering Horseshoe Falls . As the boat battles the waters , take advantage of unsurpassed photo opportunities ( 242 miles ). Day 15 Niagara Falls / Toronto : Return to Toronto where the tour concludes with your onward journey .
