DAY 1 West Coast Wilderness Lodge
Make your way to the Sunshine Coast . At the lodge , settle in , meet your hosts and dine whilst soaking up the panoramic views of Jervis Inlet .
DAY 2 West Coast Wilderness Lodge
Take a leisurely self-guided hike through a coastal rainforest out to the Skookumchuck Rapids , just under two miles away . This dynamic waterway is North America ’ s fastest salt water rapids , creating a dazzling array of standing waves , overfalls and whirlpools . If you prefer , you could bike to the rapids rather than walk . On your return to the lodge , a variety of other activities and excursions are available , including kayaking and zodiac boat tours or , perhaps visit the exclusive Eco Spa .
DAY 3 West Coast Wilderness Lodge Your tour concludes this morning .

DAY 1 Campbell River Make your way to your Campbell River hotel .
DAY 2 Campbell River / Knight Inlet
Morning transfer and 25 minute floatplane flight to Knight Inlet Lodge , a rustic floating lodge at the mouth of the Glendale River . Once settled enjoy a small boat estuary excursion . This afternoon set off on a two hour bear viewing tour ( by boat in spring and summer , or on a viewing platform late August-October ) of Glendale Cove , home to one of British Columbia ’ s largest concentrations of grizzly bears . This is followed by a two hour Knight Inlet sightseeing cruise . This evening , a guide gives an interpretive presentation .
DAY 3 Knight Inlet / Campbell River
Morning bear viewing trip before return floatplane flight back to Campbell River .

Accommodation : 3H Comfort Inn & Suites , Campbell River ; 4H Knight Inlet Lodge ( rooms do not have TV or phone ).

DAY 1 Tweedsmuir Park Lodge
On arrival you will be transferred to the lodge ( also possible to self-drive ). Settle in and enjoy the scenery , keeping watch for wildlife such as river otters and black bears .
DAY 2 Tweedsmuir Park Lodge
Embark on an early walk to hopefully catch a glimpse of bears . After breakfast , enjoy a guided drift on the Atnarko River seeking out more bears . In the afternoon , set off on a nature walk in the old growth forests with a naturalist guide .
DAY 3 Tweedsmuir Park Lodge
Further explore the park with guides who have mapped out numerous short hikes . There is another guided drift on the river this afternoon .
DAY 4 Tweedsmuir Park Lodge Your tour concludes this morning .

Set out early on a full day bear viewing adventure , which visits several estuaries where you can view bars , either from a zodiac or on foot .
