Unmissable Newfoundland & Labrador Experiences
Atlantic Canada- Newfoundland & Labrador

Newfoundland & Labrador

A place of rugged natural beauty
With its dramatic natural beauty, serene seaside villages, miles of untouched coastline and giant icebergs making an annual appearance, it’ s easy to see Newfoundland & Labrador’ s appeal. The provincial capital, St John’ s, is full of character and charisma, with rainbow-hued row houses and weathered fishing piers lining the rugged slopes and rocky shores of the Atlantic Ocean. North America’ s most easterly point can be found at Cape Spear, and its lighthouse is an iconic symbol of the province’ s maritime history. Head there early and be the first to see the sun rise over North America. Enchanting Trinity, a prime gateway for exploring the Bonavista Peninsula, brims with restored 19th century buildings, while St Anthony is located along the northern portion of Iceberg Alley, and is also a departure point for whale watching trips. Every summer, from May to August, 22 different species of whale frolic in the ocean, breach the surface and pout near the shore. It’ s a must-do while here! Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a neverending series of wonders and delights, where you can hike amazing landscapes and travel through fjords carved by glaciers millennia ago. The region is also a major birdwatching destination, where over 35 million seabirds, including gannets, puffins and storm petrels can be found.
