Eastern Canada- Algonquin & Muskoka
Algonquin & Muskoka
Cherished natural playgrounds
If it’ s the Canadian wilderness you seek, then Algonquin Provincial Park is an outdoor lover’ s dream thanks to lush woodlands, wildflower meadows and thousands of glistening lakes. By far the best way to explore the beauty of the park and spot wildlife such as moose, bears, wolves and deer, is to hike or bike the scenic trails and paddle canoes along the serene waterways. After dark be sure to look up, as with limited light pollution, there’ s a clear view of the stars and planets in the Ontario sky.
Stretching from Algonquin Provincial Park’ s vast wilderness in the east to the rugged windswept shores of Georgian Bay in the west, Muskoka is another four-season hotspot. There’ s a timelessness to Muskoka and its 1,600 sparkling freshwater lakes, rocky shorelines, iconic parks and mature mixed forests provide the perfect backdrop for adventure or escape. Aside from water related activities, hiking, biking and seeking out the abundant wildlife, be sure to also discover Muskoka’ s Indigenous history and sample the wealth of craft brews and wines.
