Many airlines now implement measures that minimise harmful emissions, plus we are also happy to offer alternative means of travelling from A to B – for example, some trains or ships can provide a much more relaxing experience.

The majority of our featured properties have a variety of sustainability initiatives in place, including solar power, composting, plastic-free policies and using locally-sourced food within their restaurants. Some are also locally owned or support their community with an array of schemes. Whilst planning activities at your holiday destination, there are often ways to experience local life without using motorised transport – for example, walking tours give a much more immersive experience into local life and a cycle tour can offer you the opportunity to get to places which a coach can’ t reach.
