Western Canada- Whistler

Whistler

A mountain playground and vibrant village
Lying in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, legendary Whistler is a down-to-earth mountain town and a champion of year-round alpine activities. Casual adventurers and outdoor purists flock here for incomparable skiing and boarding, golf, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and ziplining, amidst views sure to take your breath away. Actually two side-by-side mountains, Whistler Blackcomb is North America’ s largest ski resort with over 8,000 acres of skiable terrain, thrilling descents and exquisite scenery. Summer transforms the mountains into a hiking and biking haven, with sparkling glacier-fed lakes, towering old-growth forests, waterfalls, beaches and parks linked by a network of paved valley trails. A ride on the incredible PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, spanning the two mountains, is a must-do. Its cheery red cabins offer a window to spectacular views of the mountains, valley and village. Nestling at the base of the mountains is Whistler Village, the beating heart of the resort. Pedestrian-friendly it brims with boutique shops, inspiring art galleries, award-winning restaurants, locally-owned bakeries and breweries, not to mention a legendary après nightlife. While away the days with a leisurely stroll along its stone walkways, people watch from countless sunny patios, explore fun-filled family playgrounds, or simply use it as your launchpad for outdoor recreation, it delivers countless options for all, in every season.
