AUSTRALIA’S TERTIARY PROFESSIONALS AWARDED FOR BEST PRACTICE
Australia’s most valued educators have been recognised at the
ATEM / Campus Review Best Practice Awards.
Now in its sixth year, the awards were held at the Arts Centre
Melbourne and rewarded more than 60 professional managers
of tertiary education for their achievements.
Carl Rallings, president of the Association for Tertiary Education
Management (ATEM), said he hoped the awards meant that more
educators would be recognised for their hard work.
“When these awards were established in 2012, we hoped they
would be a catalyst for the increased recognition of the quality
of leadership and management in the tertiary education sector,”
he said.
“Now in our sixth year, we are confident we have succeeded in
showcasing that quality and increasing the status of professional
leaders and managers.
“The winners of this year’s awards have been selected from
an incredibly competitive pool of applicants, in particular the
categories of Community and Engagement, People and Culture,
Marketing, Communications, Public Relations and Student
Engagement.
“I would like to congratulate all winners and nominees;
it is a wonderful achievement to be nominated for these
important awards,” he said.
