She has also featured in the local music video titled “Swagg” by a Bulawayo based hip-hop group Jubenics.
Bathabile is also a model. In 2014,
she was crowned Miss Nust first
princess. She was also set to represent Bulawayo in the last year’s
Miss Carnival pageant but could
not participate because the contest
coincided with her varsity exams.
This year, she chose not to audition
for the Miss World Zimbabwe pageant as it would tax her school work.
She said apart from winning the NAMA award, one of
her best highlights was in 2012
when she was crowned Miss Eveline, Miss Personality and Best
Dressed couple all in one night.

from different people. Academically, she is inspired by Nqobile Nyathi, a lecturer in the department of
journalism at NUST. She is also inspired by Beyonce Knowles whom
she described as a “go getter.”
Asked how she juggles school with every other thing that she does, she said:
“As women, God blessed us with
many abilities and multitasking is
one of them. I am passionate about
what I do to a point where it doesn’t
feel like I’m working. I express myself though acting and dancing that’s
how I find time to do everything.”
With so many talents and the brains
to complement the talents, Bathabile Dlamini is a star in the rising.
“Bathabile

“My school work comes first. I
never compromise on it because I
intend to finish my studies in the
prescribed four years. I’m focusing
on my studies and extra-curricular activities entirely because they
complement each other,” She says.
However, the multi-talented Batha
will contest in the Miss Professional
Pageant that will be held on the 28th
of March at the Bulawayo Theatre.
The aspiring journalist said because
