What makes summer camp great for a young child?
he answer is easy: Camp Ganim! Our camp for children ages 2-5 is part
of the Weinstein JCC's renowned Early Childhood Department, and
features two four-week sessions. Enroll your child in Session One from
June 16 to July 11, in Session Two from July 14 to August 8, or enroll
your child in both sessions and have the summer of a lifetime!
T
Highlights of the Camp Ganim experience include music and movement, art,
gardening, water play, outdoor activities and swimming lessons (for toilettrained children 3+ years old). Our qualified Camp Ganim staff are sensitive to
the needs of each child and are mindful of infusing each day with the values of
kindness and respect for each other, the community and the natural world.
The award-winning playgrounds at Camp Ganim have been designed for
hands-on, open-ended exploration. The outdoor spaces inspire children to
become connected with the wonders of nature on a daily basis.
Also incorporated into Camp Ganim's daily activities are Judaic values and
traditions. Shabbat is celebrated every Friday morning during flag-raising on
the playground. The children learn the Israeli National Anthem (Hatikvah)
and songs and blessings in both Hebrew and English. They enjoy Challah
(bread) for snack and participate in the giving of Tzedakah (contributions for
charity).
The days are busy at Camp Ganim! Summer naturally allows children to let
loose and enjoy the outdoors. They are inspired to be curious and have fun
getting messy as they dance, splash, sing, jump, create, build, dig and play in
the dirt, sand and mud. The counselors and specialists are excited about our
summer program and are eager to have fun with your child.
