CAMP GANIM One-of-a-Kind Day Camp for Preschoolers Ages 2-5 Camp Sessions Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Session One: June 15 - July 10 Session Two: July 13 - August 7 Swim lessons for children 3 years and older who are toilet trained and in a 3-5 year-old Camp class. Highly trained and nurturing counselors Closings Healthy kosher snacks provided June 8 (camp staff training), July 3, September 2, 3, 4 (teacher training) Low child-to-counselor ratio: 6:1 for 2-year-olds, 8:1 for 3 to 5-year-olds Age Requirements/Rates Parents are welcome to visit and become involved Ganim Volunteer Corps: Grades 7–12 - Volunteer with preschool camp groups - Learn valuable skills - Qualifies as community service to meet school requirements Ages 2 (by 6/15/20) – 5-years-old Monday – Friday (5 days): 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. $920M/$1,085NM per session Ages 4 (by 9/1/20) – 5-years-old Monday – Friday (5 days): 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. $1,245M/$1,410NM per session 2-year-olds only T/W/TH (3 days): 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. $760M/$890NM per session Priority enrollment given to Weinstein JCC members who register for Camp Ganim by February 2. Below is the Camp Ganim procedure for children with special needs and/or children receiving support services currently or at any time prior to the start of camp (OT, PT, Speech, Hearing, Educational, Behavioral, Counseling, Medical, etc.): Lily Ocasio, Camp Ganim Director 545-8615, preschool@weinsteinjcc.org • The child must be enrolled in our Early Childhood program for the 2020-21 school year. • Parents are required to share any evaluations, IEPs/IFSPs, treatment plans and progress notes that will assist in determining strategies and support for their child so that counselors will have an awareness of each camper’s needs. • Parents must contact Melissa Bunce, Director of Inclusion and Support Services, at 545-8658 or mbunce@weinsteinjcc.org to schedule a meeting to discuss if/how their child’s specific needs can be met within our camp and school program.
