Ball handling, footwork, position play,
shooting, rebounding, and defense are
just some of the skills campers will learn in
Basketball Camp. Teamwork, sportsmanship,
discipline and fun are the focus. Instruction
will take place from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Half-day options are available for some of the Specialty Camps and run from
9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. This time will be spent within the specialty area.

Before-care is available at the Weinstein JCC from 7:30–9:00 a.m. for all
camps and after-care is available from 5:00–6:00 p.m. for full-day camps.

All full-day camps include a daily recreational swim (campers must bring swim-
suit and towel), and a choice of gardening, art or gym time in the afternoon.
✹ All full-day campers will bring their own dairy lunch.

For camps K-5 or higher, campers are split into groups
based on age and ability.
Kosher snacks provided in the afternoon; campers must provide their own snack
in the morning.

In order to provide a quality and appropriately staffed program for our children, there is a small fee
for our after-care service. Registration for after-care is due by June 12 or at time of registration.
Cost is $30 per week. Please note: if not registered in advance the cost will be $10 per day.

Jr. NFL Flag Football (K-5 th )
Week 11: August 24-28
Flag football offers non-contact, continuous
action while using minimal equipment. In this
camp, kids will play flag football and build the
basic skills of passing, receiving, defending,
and running the ball.

Richmond Kickers Academy
(K-2 ND , 3 RD -5 th )
Week 5: July 13-17
Week 9: August 10-14
Players, U-8 through U-14, will receive
instruction from nationally licensed and pro-
fessional coaches. Activities include technical
ball work,1 v 1 activities, 4 v 4 tournaments,
shoot-outs and fun competitions.

TENNIS AT THE DOMINION (2 nd -6 th )
Week 8: August 3-7
Instructor: Core Kids Academy
This camp is designed to instill and develop
confidence, refine motor skills, and promote
fitness. Fun games, obstacle courses, and
introductory gymnastics progressions
such as handstands, cartwheels, and back
walkovers will improve your child’s flexibility,
coordination and strength.

Week 8: August 3-7
Location: The Dominion Club
Led by USTA tennis professionals, this camp
emphasizes fundamentals such as skill
development, forehand, backhand, serving,
return of serves, and scoring. Participants
will play singles, doubles, and a variety of fun
games. The camp includes a daily free swim
period at the outdoor pool. Transportation
from the Weinstein JCC to The Dominion Club
and back is provided.

CORE Gymnastics (K-4 th )

Instructor: Core Kids Academy
CORE's NinjaZone program is a high-octane
combination of obstacle training, martial arts,
gymnastics, and freestyle movement designed
to harness the energy of boys and girls for a
total body workout that builds strength, endur-
ance, and character. Utilizing specific ninja
equipment, campers will work on ninja skills
that include flips, rolls and vaults.

Horseback Riding (2 nd -6 th )
Week 1: June 15-19

Location: Fox Meade Farm
Campers will have an amazing time interacting
with horses and ponies. The experience will
include leisure rides, horse safety, games,
grooming and care of the animals within the
stables. Long pants, t-shirts and riding boots
are required. Riding helmets are available, or
campers can bring their own AHSA-approved
helmet.

COOKING

Every day campers will bake something deli-
cious and at the end of the week will go home
with a recipe book. From cookies to challah we
will enjoy many treats!

During this sweet week, campers will work daily
with different kinds of dough to make every-
thing from cookies to Shabbat Challah. The
possibilities are simply endless!

From Farm to Fork (K-2 nd ) (3 rd -5 th )

Instructor: Jessie Crowe
In this culinary adventure campers will learn
the importance of where our food comes from.
Activities include visiting a working farm and
farmers market in addition to enjoying the
wonderful garden at the JCC. Campers will
learn to make healthy choices, try new things,
and gain an appreciation for farms and those
who maintain them. Students will bring recipes
home with them so they may try them together
with their families in the future.

Week 4: July 6-10
Location: Weinstein JCC and Camp Hilbert
Each day campers will swim, bike, run, and
train under expert instruction by Endorphin
Fitness coaches who teach proper form
and technique, benefiting them beyond the
sport of triathlon. On the last day, everyone
competes in a youth triathlon race at Camp
Hilbert. A 6-9 age group and a 10-13 age
group is offered and each group requires at
least 10 participants with a maximum of 20.

Throughout the week campers will visit tastes
of different countries. From Chinese egg rolls to
Israeli Falafel, join us for a delicious trip unlike
any other you’ve taken! Campers will learn
the origin of many different native dishes from
around the world.

During this fun and tasty week, campers will
recreate traditional dishes of different holidays
and celebrations. From guacamole for Cinco
de Mayo, to potato salad for Fourth of July,
campers will explore and prepare a variety of
different dishes. The week will conclude in an
end of the week Shabbat celebration
for campers, friends, and families.
