Josh is excited to be back at Camp Hilbert for his tenth summer on staff,
and his first full summer as Director. During the year, Josh serves as
Weinstein JCC’s Sports and Recreation Director. He strongly believes in
the lasting impact that summer camp can have on the development of
children and believes in the power it has to build community.
PJ George, Rishonim Unit Head
PJ has been at Camp Hilbert since 2007 as a lead staff member for
the Rishonim group, and has taught 4 and 5-year-olds in the Weinstein JCC Preschool for over 10 years. With his infectious enthusiasm,
PJ nurtures our youngest campers in the transition from preschool to
elementary programs.

Melissa coordinates the Weinstein JCC’s special needs and inclusion
initiatives. She is involved in staff training and works closely with
the staff and children throughout the summer to help facilitate a
successful camp experience for all campers.
Matt Shenker, Aleph Unit Head
Matt has worked at Camp Hilbert every summer since 2008. He is a recent graduate of VCU and will be attending graduate school in the fall of
2015 to earn his Masters in elementary education. Matt has a devoted
passion for helping every child learn and grow as campers, students,
and individuals.
