Camp J Staff 2016 Scott Zorn, Camp Director/Director of Children, Youth and Family Engagement This is Scott’s 11th year as Camp Director of Camp J. He has a master’s degree in counseling psychology and several years of experience in counseling children, youth programming, music and Judaics. Scott and his wife Julie run music programs for children at The J and other community programs. They are the proud parents of two camp-age children. Kristin Taft, Special Needs Services Director Kristin has a master’s degree in education human relations. She is experienced in leading, supervising and supporting programs for young people with special needs. Kristin matches inclusion campers and their staff/advocates, educates all staff, and supervises Taglit programs at The J. Kristin is a native to Tucson and this is Kristin’s fourth summer at the The J. Wendy Edmonds, Early Childhood Education Co-Director Wendy has worked at The J for 19 years and has a bachelor’s degree in social work and psychology. She has spent most of her career working with young children and their families. Joline Riddle, Early Childhood Education Co-Director Joline joined The J last summer and has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in early childhood education. She has spent her career working with young children in a local school district and undergraduates at the University of Arizona Aimee Gillard, Assistant Camp J Director This is Aimee’s third summer at The J. She has a master’s degree in education from ASU. Her experience includes teaching in early childhood programs, after-school and gymnastic programs. Aimee enjoys working out, watching sports and spending time with her friends and family, and of course, her young infant son. Oren Riback Assistant Camp J Director Oren has a B.A. in philosophy from The College of Wooster in Ohio and is an alumni camper with the Tucson J. He is a former high school teacher that finds joy in assisting youth through personal development in engaging and interactive settings. Emily Malin, Special Needs Services Coordinator/Inclusion Coordinator Emily has been working in the social services field for eight years. She studied education and nonprofit management at ASU. Emily has always had a passion for helping others and volunteering. She loves camping and spent many summers at Camp Charles Pearlstein. In her spare time, she enjoys playing guitar, reading, and spending time with her family. Julie Zorn, Jewish Living and Learning Specialist Julie has worked at the Tucson J for ten years as a music specialist and as the Jewish Living and Learning specialist for the past two years. She is currently attending Hebrew College as a Masters degree candidate in Informal Jewish Education. Julie oversees the Jewish components of camp, including teaching universal values.
